California Knitting Bloggers Web Ring
Sites must be personal blogs that clearly show and discuss knitting
as a hobby, and that the knitter currently resides in California.
Ring rules
- You must live and knit in the great state of California, and you have to have a regularly updated blog.
- Only hobby blogs will be accepted.
- Only family-friendly blogs will be accepted to this ring.
- Blog must be updated on a regular basis, and at least a couple times per week.
- The ring code can be either on your main blog page in the sidebar or footer, or on a links or rings
page. If the code is not on your main page, there must be a clear link to that alternate page, and back
again.
- You must know how to insert ring code onto your blog.
- You have seven days to put the code on your page. If the code isn't there by then, your site will
be deleted from the ring. You may reapply at a later time.
- Remember the ring password so that you can make changes, if you need to.
- I have the right to refuse membership to anyone.
- Any image associated with this ring must reside on your server.
- Any image associated with this ring must be an approved image. See below.
- Do not change the ring code.
I know and understand that the code will look a little different on everyone's site,
because of font and link color differences. Other than that, the ring code should look and
act the same way on everyone's pages.
- Do not copy the code off of this page. It will not work. Your ring ID must be
in the code on your page before you will be admitted to the ring. With the possible exception of adding
a button, your code must exactly match the code that RingSurf sends to you.
This ring is powered by RingSurf.

This is currently what the ring code will look like when it has been installed on your blog.
Button button
If you want to replace the words, "California Knitting Bloggers" with one of the images below,
please go right ahead.
If you want
to take a stab at designing a button for this ring, send it
to me. I'll share all reasonable buttons here. Please limit the pixel count (say around 120 x 50)
and keep the disk space to a minimum (12k or under) to help with loading times.
Here are the buttons currently available.
If you use a button, that's great, but link to this page must remain. Be sure to save any image you use
to your own server first. If you link to my image you are stealing my bandwidth. Don't do it!
Examples:
This is how this portion of your code arrives:
<a href="http://support.laurasbooks.com/calknit.html">California
Knitting Bloggers</a>
Here's an example of how this portion of the code will look with an image instead:
<a href="http://support.laurasbooks.com/calknit.html"><img
src="http://www.yourserver.com/califblog1.gif"></a>
The end result is that the code goes from looking like this:
To looking like this:
It is important for all of the links to be there, and in the proper order. The only thing that will change
is that the words "California Knitting Bloggers" will be replaced with an image. If you need more help
than this to include an image, please get a friend to help you.
We're listed here...
Or will be soon, anyway. I hope.
